In 1979 the property management branch was created to give clients a higher level of performance, attention, and professionalism in property management. At RentInRichmond.com, we have all been (and some currently are) renters. Our own rental experiences have driven us to create strict standards to which we hold our employees.
John Johnson
Property Manager
John Johnson is our property manager and has been working for Brooks and Innes Inc. part time since 1978, and full time after graduating from VCU in 1985.
John's education prepared him for the business aspects of the real estate market. He is responsible for general maintenance and property management. He is also adept at painting, roofing, plumbing, and renovation. Email

Christi Connell
Property Manager
Christi began her career in 1989 with RentInRichmond.com (back when we were called Re/Max Commonwealth). She currently represents owners in Chesterfield and the West End in addition to condominium management. She has held her real estate license since 1983.
Christi obtained her bachelors degree in accounting in 1996 from VCU. She enjoys stained glass and spending time in the Outer Banks. Email

Karen Engard
Office Manager/Bookkeeper
Karen began her real estate career as a legal assistant, with an emphasis in real estate, mortgage loans, construction mortgages assumptions, second mortgages, and deed preparation. Because of this and other real estate experience, she has broad knowledge in numerous guidelines set by lending institutions and government agencies. Email
